Ji Oh is a Korean designer who has been a finalist in various esteemed fashion funds. Before launching her own brand, she studied in London and New York. Her brand centers on luxurious clothes for womxn’s comfort. Her style can be described as minimalistic, sophisticated and refined. Her androgynous designs are meant to uplift women to “believe in their own power” by invoking the feeling of confidence and power.

TRAN PHUONG MY – PHUONG MY BRAND
Phong My is a Vietnamese fashion designer who is rapidly gaining recognition within the fashion industry. She received her training in San Francisco after switching from a degree in math to design. Her collections focus on conveying the beauty of the Asian women who wear the garments and aim to highlight their beauty. There’s no limit to her choice of fabric, and she often outsources her materials. Before designing, she had done notable work as a stylist. She’s recently released her first bridal line which aims to challenge the ordinary view of what wedding attire should be. In her words, “weddings don’t have to just be white” and her idea is to convey the womxn as a warrior.

HANAE MORI - HANAE MORI BRAND
Hanae Mori, a Japanese fashion designer, started her path in designing through costume design in Japan. After a trip to Paris, she wanted to begin designing haute couture clothes. Her first ever collection in New York was a success and from that moment forth, her success snowballed. Mori became the only Japanese woman to be admitted to France’s haute couture club. Her clothing reflects a fusion of Eastern and Western aesthetics. Today, she has retired from fashion designing; however, her boutiques are still selling her clothes and there is even a perfume based on her and her designs.

Sheena Sood is an South Asian American artist who created her own sustainable fashion brand. Her pieces are upcycled, contain natural fibers, and are created with traditional skilled artisans and weavers. Her interests and passions center around traditional textiles, patterns, and colors from all over the world. Even though she’s based in the United States, she frequently travels across the world and inspiration from her travels usually end up becoming integrated into her designs.

Vera Wang is a Chinese American fashion designer who is widely known for her bridal designs, but has built and expanded her fashion brand to more than just bridal dresses. Her designs are modern, intricate, and undeniably couture. Her dresses have been worn by various celebrities and she even made her own wedding dress. Wang’s incredible passion for fashion, neverending drive for perfection, and layered designs are some of the reasons that she is one of the leading fashion designers today.
